Bio - Ed Zschau
Ed brings 15 years of business development and general management experience to Inductus Associates. Prior to forming Inductus in March 2001, Ed served as Director of Business Development for Sameday Technologies, where he negotiated and managed marketing and technology alliances, structured the company's business development program and helped raise a $20 million Series C venture capital round. Prior to Sameday, Ed served as General Manager of Ticketmaster Online-Citysearch's Austin market. Ed led a team of 55 people in sales, marketing, operations and customer service. During his tenure, Ed's team increased in-market revenues 25 percent, reduced expenses 33 percent, improved account retention by 20 percent, and implemented a successful pilot of Citysearch's career product that led to a rollout across 24 markets. He also served in business development roles for Netzip, a division of Real Networks, and Preview Systems.
In 1994, Ed started and operated the Bend Bandits, a Double AA professional minor league baseball team in Bend, Oregon. As President and General Manager, he oversaw all sales, operations, player development, capital raising, community development and a major stadium renovation project. Prior to forming the Bandits, Ed was a management consultant in the San Francisco offices Bain & Company and Booz, Allen & Hamilton, where he worked on strategy and business process reengineering engagements for Fortune 500 companies in the computer, telecommunications, chemical, consumer packaged goods and leisure travel industries.
Ed earned an MBA from Stanford and an AB in Politics from Princeton.
